I came to R&R to tell you the truth, I wasnt expecting too much because of the pain I have been dealing with since the treatment I was afraid to let go of my arms because they were so stuff and the lymphodema I have in my right arm. The swelling was much more noticable then it is now, I can move my left arm to a tremendous height now. I have tools to work with at home to keep improving the right side. I believe I am going to keep recovering because the staff at R&R taught me that I can beat pain. Thanks everyone for your kindness, patience, and your help!

What is Primal / Pain Reflex Release Technique?

Answer

PRRT is a new non-conventional physical therapy approach which utilizes the body’s primal reflexes for the purpose of reducing musculoskeletal pain and enhancing natural healing. It can be used effectively to treat chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, post-surgical pain and unresolved pains. These reflexes refer specifically to protective reflexes. A reflex is any movement occurring automatically and involuntarily as a result of the nervous system’s reaction to a stimulus. The strongest primal reflexes are startle, withdrawal, and protective joint reflexes. PRRT is based on the theories that abnormal responses to pain and stress occur when basic or primal reflexes are overactive and that the nervous system responses can be neutralized using certain manual techniques and home exercises.
