I had a terrible car accident on Friday, March 13 and broke my neck and fractured my back in several places. When the TMH neaurosurgeon removed the "Halo" and "TLSO" braces I'd been wearing for three months, I could barely turn my head. Fortunately, a therapist at HealthSouth recommended me to R&R Physical Therapy, a place I was meant to be. Immediately, I saw how Rene and his staff worked diligently to achieve their corporate mission statement which is, "to help patients achieve a positive and meaningful difference in their lives." They have a vision, which now includes me, and they do what their mission says. In my R&R visits, I appreciated the caring spirit and genuine concern of Rene and Whitney, who were never too busy to listen to me rant about "my level of pain". While Im not back to jogging or swimming, I am working, driving typing, giving presentations, and walking two miles every other day. Even now, I still here Rene's soft voice saying. "Trust your body," and with those simple words resounding in my soul, I am learning to do just that!
